Dr.P.G.Visvanathan, M.S.,D.L.O.,F.R.A.C.S.,F.I.C.S., Chief Consultant

Dr.P.G.Visvanathan is one among the two surgeons who have performed the world's largest series of operations for deafness caused by Otosclerosis. He was the first to pioneer many techniques including small Fenestra Stapedotomy and KTP Laser Surgery in South Asia.

Using Gold & Titanium prosthesis to replace the bones of hearing is another major breakthrough in ear surgery even in failed cases. For the first time in India, he has performed Cochlear Implant Surgery with minimally invasive techniques and intra-opneural telemetry. He is often invited to demonstrate live surgery and deliver guest lectures by institutions the world over.

Dr.Mangal Kumar Veerasamy, M.D.,MRCP.,Ph.D.,

Dr.Mangalakumar Veerasamy did his medical training in Chennai, India at Madurai Medical College where he gained his medical degree (MBBS) in 1996 acquiring gold medals in medicine en route. He completed his MD at Madras Medical College in 2000 where he was 'Best Outgoing Student' of his class.

Dr.Veerasamy is currently working on the Genzyme Research Initiative Program (GRIP) funded project studying the role of Id proteins in determining renal epithelial cell fate. Dr.Veerasamy will be studying what regulates the expression of Id proteins in human renal epithelial cells, particularly aftertreatment with TGF-beta and BMP-7.

Dr.J.K.Periyasamy, M.D., D.M, FCCP, FICC.,

Dr.J.K.Periyasamy, founder of the Dr.JKP Medical Centre is one of the renowned Cardiologists in the country with more than thirty years of experience. He has performed more than 10,000 Coronary Angiograms and more than 1000 interventional procedures like Coronary Balloon Angioplasty with Stent, Valvuloplasies and Permanent Pacemaker Implantations.

Dr.Anjana, M.B.,M.S.,F.A.G.E.,

Dr.Anjana has fulfilled fellowships in Cochlear Implant, Otology, Endoscopic sinus and laser surgery from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Denmark, France,USA and is an expert in these areas of specialisation. She is currently involved in the following research projects viz; Indigenous affordable cochlear implant, Invasive Allergic Mucormycosis, Stenting for Endoscopic Sinus and Septal surgery, enhancement of surgical results with the KTP Laser.

Dr.Aruna, M.B.,M.S.,F.A.G.E.,

Dr.Aruna Visvanathan who trained at Manipal, is also a consultant surgeon at Vikram ENT Hospital. She has fulfilled fellowships in Otology, Skullbase surgery & FESS at University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland., Society d' Otology Pratique, Paris, University Hospital Gentofte, Denmark. She is also a contributing author to "A Manual on Temporal Bone Dissection and Tracheo Oesophageal Puncture" edited by Dr.P.Hazarika and Dr.P.S.N. Murthy.

Dr.K.Umakanthan, M.B.,B.S.,M.D.,

Dr.Umakanthan, Founder of the Medicare Centre, Coimbatore is the Professor of Medicine & Medical Unit Chief at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. He is a Specialist in Coronary Care, Internal Medicine and Diabetology. He is a Senior Civil Surgeon and an Authorized Medical Attendant. He is also a Visiting Consultant for a number of reputed hospitals in Coimbatore.
